Referencing

A guide to referencing styles at GSM London

Introduction to Harvard style referencing

There are many different styles of referencing but all students at GSM London (apart from those studying Law) use the Harvard style. This style of referencing consists of two elements:

  • In-text citations
  • A full list of references (included at the end of your assignment)

Each time you quote directly, paraphrase or summarise someone else's ideas, you have to include both an in-text citation and a full reference entry at the end of your work.
