Introduction

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an Intergovernmental organisation (IGO) working with governments, NGOs, other IGOs, researchers and practitioners to promote:

  • The implementation of policies to improve the economic and social conditions of people around the world. 
  • The development of emerging economies.
  • The setting up of standards and procedures on a wide range of fields, from agriculture to foreign investment, from taxation to the promotion of workers' safety.
  • Economic growth through innovation, environmentally friendly ‘green growth’ strategies.

  

The OECD iLibrary is the online library of the    Organisation and contains collections of books,  papers, glossaries & statistics published since 1998.
